Learning and Exploring Colombia 4.0 - My Digital Proposal
Learning and Exploring Colombia 4.0 - My Digital Proposal
What is Colombia 4.0?
Colombia 4.0 is probably the most important gathering of digital ecosystems in Colombia and Latin America, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies of the country.
In order to make this event, different partners make Colombia 4.0 possible and to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Colombia 4.0 is reaching 11 departments with the support of 135 partners, including public, private, and academic institutions that drive digital ecosystems across the country.

360 Virtual Tour - My Digital Proposal
In order to show you what my experience was like in a more digital way, I have created a 360 Virtual Tour by using H5P tool so that you can explore my visit to this event from whatever device you are connected. Here, you will be able to navigate to some of the spots organized for the different talks, activities and galleries, as well as some pictures I took, a video in which I summarize my impressions on this event and a short podcast extract from a talk about Artificial Intelligence for Education given by an expert in this matter. Hope you like it!
How did I do it?
H5P: As I said before, the main tool I used for this was the 360 Virtual Tool provided by H5P (or Lumi) which let you create this kind of interactive escenarios with pictures, videos, audios and text. (Notice that my 360 Virtual Tool has different scenarios and background music to make it much more interesting and engaging).
360 Photo Cam: Also, I used a 360 camera on my Android phone which is for free (for only one picture) and let you take the necessary pictures in a 360° and spiral way. (If you want to get more personalized 360° panoramic and spiral pictures you have to pay around 2 USD to download it unless you simply want to replicate one from Google Street View which is tollaly free and has no limits)
Toonita Video: Another tool I used to cartoonize a video I recorded and to make it a bit different and engaging, I downloaded an app called Toonita Video which is free and does not have a limit time in your video (Mine was about 1 minute long) but with a watermark provided taht this is totally for free. However, very interesting and with many more filters to add to your videos.
Audacity: Finally, I used Audacity to put my audio clips together with background music so that I could make it a bit more professional and engaging. Then I generated the .mp3 file and I uploaded to my server. (You can also upload the audio to the H5P Video Tour but it will make the h5p file heavier).
Now, it is your turn to show us and surprise us with what you have learned about the use of digital tools during our classes. here you are the Evaluation Criteria for this task:
Evaluation Criteria for your creations:
- USE OF DIGITAL RESOURCES: You can use any digital tool of your choice to relate your experience to Colombia 4.0 event. However, the more tools you use, the better score you can get as follows: (1 tool = 2 points | 2 tools = 3 points | 3 tools = 4 points | 4 tools or more = 5 points)
- PUNCTUALITY: Your digital creation must be written, embedded and/or hyperlinked in your blog as well as shared though a link in our Moodle platform to evaluate your punctuality. (Notice that the link is not the link to your blog post but to the final product created (e.g. a game map, a podcast, a comic, an AI product with pictures)) I will be giving you the link to upload your creations next class.
- USE OF ENGLISH: Your final product must reflect your knowledge and proficiency on the language. So, your vocabulary, grammar structures, pronunciation, writing output and fluency will be evaluated.
- CREATIVITY: When using digital tools for educational purposes, there is no limit in creativity and use of resources. It means that your creation should be as creative as possible trying to make it authentic, engaging and interesting.
- EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE: Your creation must also have a clear learning and educational objective that you must explain in an audio, video or in a text to contextualize your creation and what you want to transmit and teach to your viewers.
